Abstract

Background: According to the role of health insurance, Consent of the insured is also important. Patient’s satisfaction is a complicated phenomenon that affected by various factors. Purpose: The aim of this study was determination of insured's satisfaction and its relationship with functional areas of Iran Health Insurance Organization and Social Security Organization in Tehran. Method: This study was descriptive. The sample size included 229 insured of Iran Health Organization Insurance and 384 insured of Social Security Organization in Tehran. Data were collected by questionnaire were confirmed of P validity to be used in the pilot study. Also data were analyzed in descriptive method with SPSS 20 software. Interview with managers determine Functional areas and performance of organizations. Results: Satisfaction rate of Iran Health Insurance Organization and Social Security Organization was 2/7 and 2/8. In Iran Health Insurance Organization highest satisfaction rate was related to premium domain with the mean of 3. Rural fund with the mean of 2/9 satisfaction rate was the first and Iranian fund was the last. Risk pooling has highest satisfaction rate In Social Security Organization. Compulsory fund with was the first. Also there is significant relationship among satisfaction and education, job, Number of dependents, compulsory or optional insurance. Conclusion: Finally insured's satisfaction of health insurance organization and Social Security Organization was evaluated good. Organizations recognize what is important for customers by themselves. Inappropriate diagnosis of needs caused of customer dissatisfaction and increases of distance between real and ideal satisfaction. With satisfaction rate of insured in each domain they can recognize the weakness of each domain and pay attention to them. In this way, Satisfaction of insured will become more.
