Abstract

Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are still one of the major issues of obstetrics. Few studies have been conducted on the troponin I level of pregnant women and preeclamsia where the results of these studies are not conclusive; therefore in this study the troponin levels in patients with severe preeclampsia, mild preeclampsia, gestational hypertension and normal blood pressure has been investigated and compared. 140 pregnant women with average age of 29.16 years who were admitted to Kosar hospital of Qazvin in the year 2014-2015 were enrolled for this study. Each group mentioned above consisted of 35 patients. For each patient, Mother's age, Gravidity and Gestational age were collected and the troponin I level was measured in Bahaar laboratory, Qazvin. Results showed that the level of troponin I has no relation with any verity of preeclampsia and gestational hyper tension where the troponin level was zero and all groups.
