Abstract

Cholesterol and triglyceride (TG) are the effective factors in fetal envirment and growth. It seems elevated level of these lipids are correlated by large for gestational age. Our aim is to study the relation of serum TG and HDL in GDM women by infant birth weight. 294 GDM women between 24-32 weeks of pregnancy entered in study and serum level of fasting HDL and fasting TG were evaluated. Then we evaluated the infant birth weight. Statistical analysis was performed by T test, Chi squere and ANOVA tests with SPSS softwere. There is significant correlation between maternal TG and infant birth weight (P<0.001). Same to this finding we showed relationship between TG level percentile and infant bith weight.
